Many thanks to all those members and friends who attended the Club’s Race Night on Saturday 8th March. The evening was again a great success, raising just over £1300.00 towards Club funds.
The Bowling Club would like to thank the Chairman and Committee of the Churchtown Conservaitve Club for their generosity in allowing us to once again use their excellent facilities and to Alan Lloyd and the club’s bar staff for their help and hard work on the night.
Thanks also to the following :-
Race sponsors – Churchtown Conservative Club,  Bernard O’Malley, George Hitchmough, Chris Harding, Mike Milne, Mark Rowlinson, Brian Mycock and Jon Roberts.
All the Club’s team captains who helped to sell tickets for the event and to obtain horse owners and trainers.
All those who supported the event by being horse owners and trainers.
Mick Coxon, Kevin Leddy and Mark Rowlinson, who were our bookmakers for the evening.
Richard Rawcliffe and John Stennett for their help with the selling of raffle tickets.
Brian and Rhoda Whitley for their help with the food arrangements.
The whole event was again organised by our Club Secretary, George Hitchmough and special thanks must go to George, who with the help of Sue Andersen, was responsible for putting on another splendid buffet . The Club members are grateful to George and Sue for the time and effort they put in to make the event such an enjoyable evening.
On the night, George was ably assisted in the hosting of the Race Night by our Chairman, Chris Harding who finished the evening by wishing all the Club’s members a successful and enjoyable 2014 bowling season.”
