SPONSOR A SPIKE

“SPONSOR A SPIKE”

The club need to purchase a Sorrel roller for our lawnmower.

The club would normally have a fund raising night to support this but due to the current CV19 restrictions we will be unable to hold a fund raiser such as a race night and it is unlikely that we will be able to hold a physical awards evening. You the members, have always been very supportive of these events and we have always been successful in raising funds for major purchases or projects.

We are therefore asking you to support us in a slightly different way by “SPONSORING A SPIKE”

Due to the fact we are getting very dry weather early on in the season, the green is suffering from soil compaction and a crust forming on the surface preventing any water to penetrate the surface of the soil. It is recommended green care to use a sorrel roller, which is a spiked roller which aerates the green and allows moisture and fertilizers to reach the root system and allows the area to be top dressed and seeded.

The cost of this piece of equipment is over £1176.00

We would ask you to support us and “SPONSOR A SPIKE” donations of any amount would be welcomed the amount per spike is your choice.

You can donate by Bank Transfer to HABC Lloyds Bank Account 01007849 Sort Code 30-97-88 or by a Cash donation in a sealed envelope to any committee member. We will not be publishing any lists of donations in order to respect members’ privacy.

We hope you can support the “SPONSOR A SPIKE” request.
