CHAIRMAN’S SHIELD
Congratulations to Brian Sutton and Dave White who won the Chairman’s Shield on Saturday, coming back from 20-15 down to win the final 21-20 against Mike Milne and Alex Rimmer. Brian and Dave had previously looked in control of the final as they led 15-11 but 9 chalks in three ends put Mike and Alex on the brink of victory. However, Brian found a brilliant bowl when lying game down and from 16-20, Brian and Dave scored the five chalks needed over four ends to take the title. Well done to Dave on claiming his first Hesketh Arms competition win.
PRESIDENT’S CUP
The next club competition will be the President’s Cup singles handicap and will take place on Sunday 30th August, starting at 12 noon. Please report by 11.45 am to allow for a prompt start.
